Sharon tells me she’s seen signs for it down around Richmond. She’s been checking supermarkets when she is in that area. You can get it at Hill Country in DC, but I would be hard pressed to say that’s reason enough to go there. As soon as we have an actual NoVa Blue Bell sighting I will blog on it. That’s a promise.

This is the one I know as the authentic Degüello bugle call. Completely different from what you heard in the John Wayne Alamo movie. I’d found it about a year ago. Thanks for sharing.

According to KUT’s This Week in Texas Music History, what may be the original sheet music for the Deguello bugle call was recently found in Mexico City. It has no relation to the songs in the Alamo movies or “Rio Bravo.” Here’s the link if you want to hear it. You will have to listen through the history segment–the music is towards the end.
