Tonight we are headed to one of our favorite events of the year. SAVOR is an annual craft beer and food event hosted by the Brewers Association. This year, there will be over 70 brewers at the event offering over 140 different beers, along with some really top-notch food pairings. This is the third year for the event here in DC, and I think they’ve found a good venue in the National Building Museum. Funny we are going there tonight because this will be only the third time I have been to the National Building Museum and the second time this week (I was there Tuesday night for the U.S.-India Business Council 35th Anniversary Gala). A few beers I’m really raring to try tonight:
Wow this was some fine stuff last year. Chocolate and coffee and smooth. Kinda like Pam Grier circa 1973 (and if you’re wondering that’s a good thing).
From the DFH website:
In honor of the 40th anniversary of the original release of Bitches Brew, Miles Davis’ 1970 paradigm-shifting landmark fusion breakthrough, we’ve created our own Bitches Brew – a bold, dark beer that’s a fusion of three threads imperial stout and one thread honey beer with gesho root, a gustatory analog to Miles’ masterpiece.
